Oath Celebrates First Anniversary with Global Day of Service
Thousands of Oath Employees to Volunteer Across 17 Countries
June 13, 2018 -- New York, NY -- Today, Oath celebrates its one-year anniversary with the company's first annual employee day of service, The Great Build. Spearheaded by the company's social impact arm, Oath for Good, the global volunteer day brings together thousands of Oath employees to drive meaningful change in their communities.
"Whether it's participating in a career day for first generation college students or organizing donations for new mothers who are homeless or living in low-income areas, The Great Build is a call to action to make an impact where it's needed most," said Sara Link, Head of Oath for Good and President of the Oath Foundation. "This year, we are expanding the reach to include Oath's key partners, who share our relentless commitment to move the needle on important issues, by supporting the causes that matter most to them."
Oath is proud to join forces with members of its Board of Advisors, which is comprised of some of the most entrepreneurial, talented and diverse leaders from multiple industries including finance, sports, lifestyle and news, and their charitable foundations.
Oath is working with the Board's Chairwoman, Serena Williams to support the Yetunde Price Resource Center & the Compton Unified School District; Tamika Catchings' Catch the Stars Foundation; Russell Wilson and Ciara's Why Not You foundation; Joey Logano's Joey Logano Foundation; Carla Harris and her support of the A Better Chance; Regina Wilson and her support of Bronx Youth Empowerment Program; Abby Wambach and her support of Together Rising. On behalf of these organizations, Oath employees will work to assemble backpacks filled with essential hygiene kits and school supplies to students in need and writing letters to women who could benefit from words of encouragement.
With The Great Build supporting more than 200 nonprofit organizations, including 7 Board of Advisor charitable foundations, on June 13, Oath for Good is expecting to impact millions of individuals worldwide.
